The OX01 is our working model name for the first SALT expedition vehicle. Here’s what’s taking shape.
The platform +
Ford F550-based 4×4 capability with a generous habitat and a removable shell. Final payload, dimensions, and chassis specifications will be confirmed for each configuration.
Comfort & living +
Planned seating and sleeping for five, California king bed, separate rear bed, large dining area, full kitchen with oven, fridge and freezer, and a full-sized wet bath.
Life further out +
Planned large water and battery capacities, smart devices, generous insulation, and large windows. Exact capacities and equipment are still being finalized.
From prototype to SALT +
One prototype has a completed Ever Overland interior. A second vehicle, owned by Glampervan, is in development with a different SALT interior planned. Exterior images use existing prototype photographs with digitally fitted windows based on the newer prototype references; interior images are concept renders.
